Part-Time Position – 18 hours per week
About the RoleWe are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laundry Assistant to join a friendly residential care home in Dawlish. You will play an important role in ensuring residents’ clothing and linen are cleaned, well-maintained, and returned to a high standard.
This is a great opportunity to join a supportive, family-run service within a calm and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities*Washing, drying, ironing, and folding residents’ clothing and linen
*Ensuring all laundry is handled with care and returned correctly
*Operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently
*Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the laundry area
*Sorting and organising laundry items appropriately
*Supporting infection control procedures and care home standards
*Reporting any damaged or missing items
About You*Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, or care home environment desirable (not essential)
*Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
*Good attention to detail
*Understanding of hygiene and infection control standards (or willingness to learn)
*Friendly and respectful approach when working around residents’ belongings
