This Payroll Assistant role supports the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring payroll data is accurately maintained, processed, reconciled, and reported while administering pensions, benefits, and related payroll activities. It is an excellent opportunity for someone with payroll experience who enjoys working with data, systems, and stakeholders, while developing their expertise in payroll operations and compliance.

Description
Payroll Assistant
*Support the preparation and delivery of monthly payroll, ensuring employee data and payroll records are accurate and up to date.
*Process payroll changes including overtime, pensions, benefits, leave, deductions, and employee updates.
*Maintain payroll systems and ensure alignment between HR, payroll, and finance records.
*Assist with payroll accounting activities, including reconciliations and payroll journal postings.
*Support the administration of pensions, healthcare, childcare, HMRC processes, and other employee benefit schemes.
*Contribute to payroll-related projects, process improvements, and system enhancements.
*Build strong relationships with colleagues, external providers, and key stakeholders to ensure a smooth payroll service.
Profile
A successful Payroll Assistant should have:
*Previous payroll experience and a solid understanding of UK payroll processes.
*Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to analyse and reconcile data accurately.
*Knowledge of payroll systems and pension administration.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
*A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
*Commutable distance (near Beaconsfield - ideally a driver as opposed to a public transport user)

*Hybrid Working - 2x days in the office + 3 days WFH (POST PROBATION of around c. 3 months!)
