Full job descriptionRobert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join an exciting Professional Services company experiencing huge growth based in Gloucester. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:
£28,000 - £30,000 plus wider benefits package
Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:
*Assist in maintaining both sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately
*Process invoices, credit notes, and payments in a timely manner
*Support the reconciliation of bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer balances
*Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
*Prepare and post journal entries as required
*Support credit control
*Assist with various statutory filings
*Respond to internal and external queries regarding financial transactions
*Provide general administrative support to the finance team
Person specification:
*Currently working within purchase ledger or a varied transactional finance role
*Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
*Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
