Description
*Develop and implement SHEQ strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
*Lead the SHEQ team across the UK, Ireland, and Nordics, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
*Monitor and analyse SHEQ performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
*Collaborate with operational teams to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
*Oversee audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
*Drive initiatives to achieve sustainability goals and environmental compliance.
*Provide training and development to enhance SHEQ awareness and expertise within the organisation.
*Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders regarding SHEQ matters.
Profile
A successful Head of SHEQ - UK&I/Nordics should have:
*Proven experience in a leadership role within SHEQ, ideally in the transport and distribution industry.
*Strong knowledge of safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations and standards.
*Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
*Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive organisational change.
*Relevant professional qualifications in SHEQ or related fields.
*Experience in developing and implementing strategic SHEQ initiatives.
