Full job descriptionOur client, a well-established national removals and storage company, is looking for an experienced Warehouse Controller to join their Manchester operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in warehousing, storage, or logistics to take ownership of the day-to-day running of a busy storage facility.
About the Role
As Warehouse Controller, you’ll be at the heart of the warehouse operation — controlling documentation, liaising with clients, and ensuring every consignment meets the company’s storage standards from arrival to release. You’ll work closely with the Operations Team, playing a key role in keeping things running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
*Administer all warehouse documentation and ensure consignments are photographed on arrival in line with storage standards
*Keep computer systems updated on a day-to-day basis
*Act as the communication link between the company, clients, and internal teams
*Ensure all clients are dealt with in an effective, professional manner
*Quality check all consignments received and dispatched against storage standards
*Support the operational department as required
*Liaise regularly with the Operations Team / RQM
*Operate forklift trucks and crane equipment
*Assist with general warehouse and road crew duties as required
What We’re Looking For
*A qualified Forklift Truck Operator (essential)
*Experience in a storage warehouse environment is ideal, but candidates from similar logistics, warehousing, or distribution backgrounds are equally welcome
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with clients and internal teams
*A hands-on, flexible approach to work
The Package
*Salary: £30,000 per annum
*Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days
*Office/warehouse based, full-time
*Immediate start available
If you’re looking for a hands-on role within a busy, client-focused storage operation, we’d love to hear from you.
