*£40000 to £45000 Per Annum (Depending on experience)
*Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM (Days)

The Role – Senior Design Engineer
*Leading the design and development of hydraulic systems and steel-fabricated structures for agricultural machinery and equipment
*Producing detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation
*Carrying out engineering calculations, validation activities, and hydraulic system sizing
*Supporting prototype builds, testing, and product validation programmes
*Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, durability, and manufacturability
*Working closely with production teams to ensure a smooth transition from design through to manufacture
*Investigating and resolving technical issues from production, service, and customer feedback
*Liaising with suppliers regarding technical specifications, components, and quality standards
*Ensuring compliance with relevant engineering, safety, and regulatory standards
*Providing technical support and mentorship to junior engineers where required
What our client is looking for in a successful Senior Design Engineer
*Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline ESSENTIAL
*Significant experience in a senior design engineering role ESSENTIAL
*Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, valves, and circuit design ESSENTIAL
*Experience designing steel fabrications and weldments ESSENTIAL
*Proficiency in 3D CAD software, ideally SolidWorks ESSENTIAL
*Good understanding of fabrication and machining manufacturing processes ESSENTIAL
*Knowledge of electronics and control systems, including sensors and CAN-based systems DESIRABLE
*Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on engineering approach ESSENTIAL
