Full job descriptionProspero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and ambitious Graduate Teaching Assistants to join a range of excellent secondary schools across North London. This is an ideal opportunity for graduates who are passionate about education and want to gain hands-on classroom experience before progressing into teacher training or other educational careers.
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students and teachers across the school. You will work closely with pupils to help raise attainment, improve confidence, and create a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
*Providing 1:1 support for students who require additional academic or pastoral assistance.
*Building positive relationships with students and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
*Delivering small-group intervention sessions to improve student progress.
*Supporting pupils with SEN, behavioural, emotional, or academic needs.
*Assisting with classroom management and promoting positive behaviour.
*Contributing to extracurricular activities, including after-school clubs and enrichment programmes.
*Helping create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

*Have previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential).

Working Hours
*Full-time position.
*Monday to Friday.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
*Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
*Be willing to complete Prospero Teaching’s registration and compliance process.
*Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
*Be able to provide professional references.
