Job Description:
Full job descriptionOur Client
Our client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed supply chain tech business. Their programmes are used by large multinational organisations across multiple continents, and they’ve built a strong reputation as a go-to provider in this space. Following recent investment, they’re scaling their commercial team to support the next phase of growth.
The Role
As an account manager, you’ll own a portfolio of corporate customers from onboarding through to renewal — building long-term, trust-based relationships and identifying opportunities to grow the account. You’ll work cross-functionally with sales, professional services, content, and technical teams to shape a seamless customer experience, and you’ll lead commercial conversations at renewal, negotiating terms and pricing directly with senior stakeholders.
This is a client-facing, relationship-led role suited to someone who’s customer-obsessed, commercially minded, and comfortable managing multiple accounts and stakeholders simultaneously.
Hybrid working, with a UK base near the Thames Valley area.
Responsibilities
*Manage a portfolio of corporate customers, driving retention, usage, and satisfaction
*Act as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned accounts
*Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts
*Lead the renewal process, including negotiating new terms and pricing
*Liaise with internal teams (sales, professional services, content, technical) to improve the end-to-end customer journey
*Manage multiple concurrent projects across a range of internal and external stakeholders
*Represent the business professionally to senior external stakeholders, including C-suite, VP, and L&D leaders
About You
*At least 2 years’ experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or Sales, managing customers through onboarding, retention, and growth
*Ambitious, with a genuine interest in building a long-term commercial career in a growing, investor-backed business
*Confident communicator with strong presentation skills and natural rapport-building ability
*Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of your portfolio
*Strong organisational and time-management skills, able to juggle competing deadlines
*A collaborative team player with a can-do attitude
Benefits
*Clear progression path in a scaling, PE-backed business — genuine opportunities to move into broader commercial or leadership roles as the company grows
*Exposure to global, blue-chip clients and senior stakeholders
*Hybrid working with flexibility
*Supportive, close-knit team culture
*The chance to develop skills across customer growth, negotiation, and contracting
