We are currently recruiting for a Lettings Negotiator for our Estate Agency client based in Chelmsford.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2+ years’ lettings experience with a full understanding of the lettings process and current legislation.
Candidates must be a UK Resident and ideally live within a 30-minute commute of the area.
You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have the use of your own car.
Salary and benefits package for the role of Lettings Negotiator:
*Basic £25,000
*OTE £40,000
*Uncapped commission
*Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm, Saturdays 9am - 4pm (1 Saturday off per month, with day back in lieu)
*5 day working week

Responsibilities for the role of Lettings Negotiator:
*Match tenants with suitable rental properties based on their needs and preferences
*Book and conduct viewings, providing a professional and engaging tour of the property
*Carrying out valuations (after training if needed)
*Act as a trusted advisor to both landlords and tenants, offering guidance throughout the tenancy cycle
*Regularly update landlords on viewings, feedback, and market conditions to help secure lets quickly and at the right price
*Handle queries and concerns with efficiency and professionalism, always aiming for resolution and satisfaction
*Help market properties through online portals, social media, and the in-house platforms
*Monitor and report on property performance, adjusting strategy as needed to attract prospective tenants
*Negotiate rent, tenancy terms, and deposit arrangements to achieve the best outcome for both parties
*Handle objections, clarify queries, and work towards mutually beneficial agreements
*Keep landlords informed at every step to ensure transparency and confidence
*Keep all systems and records up to date, including applicant information, viewing notes, and signed agreements
Key Skills for the role of Lettings Negotiator:
*Must have at least 2 yearsexperience as a Lettings Negotiator
*Ideally experience in Lettings Valuations (not essential)
*Understanding of the lettings process
*Be up to date with current legislation
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and sales abilities
*Highly organised and able to manage a busy schedule with multiple deadlines
*Strong desire to build a long-term career in the industry
*Must hold a full UK driving licence and have the use of your own car
