Full job descriptionThe role of Property Accountant involves managing financial records and reporting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring all accounting practices are accurate and compliant. This is a temporary position offering an excellent opportunity to work in the property industry.

Description
*Preparation of monthly management accounts for a portfolio of properties.
*Production and review of property income and expenditure reports.
*Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close activities.
*Service charge accounting, including budgeting, reconciliations and year-end processes.
*Rent roll analysis and revenue reconciliations.
*Preparation of statutory and audit information as required.
*Liaising with property managers, asset managers and external stakeholders.
*Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting activities.
*Identifying opportunities to improve financial controls and processes.
Profile
To be successful in this role, you must have:
*Proven experience working as a Property Accountant.
*Strong understanding of property accounting principles, including service charge accounting.
*Experience managing property portfolios within a commercial, residential or mixed-use environment.
*Excellent month-end and management accounting skills.
*Strong Excel skills and confidence handling large volumes of financial data.
*Ability to work independently and deliver to tight deadlines within an interim assignment.
