Full job descriptionAs a Night Shift Setter, you’ll be responsible for setting and operating CNC perforating presses to produce high-quality metal and plastic components. This Night Shift Setter role offers long-term stability, excellent bonus potential and the opportunity to support and develop other team members while contributing to continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
*Set and operate CNC perforating and punch presses.
*Produce quality components while achieving production targets.
*Carry out quality inspections in line with ISO procedures.
*Maintain excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards.
*Support continuous improvement initiatives, including SMED and 5S.
*Deputise for the Team Leader when required.
*Assist with training and developing colleagues.
*Contribute to environmental and quality objectives.
Skills & Experience
*Previous Night Shift Setter or punch press setting experience.
*Mechanical or manufacturing background.
*Ability to read engineering drawings.
*Competent using micrometres and verniers.
*Good computer literacy.
*Excellent written and spoken English.
*Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous.
*Forklift licence or experience is desirable.
Working Hours
*Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm - 6:00am
You’ll be paid for a 40-hour week while working 37.5 hours, with your daily 30-minute break fully paid.
Please note – candidates will start on day shift for training, this will last for 2-4 weeks. Day shift hours are 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm
