Full job descriptionA well-established, family-owned freight forwarding company based in Eastleigh, Southampton, is looking for a dynamic and quick-thinking individual to join their friendly team.
This role is ideally suited to someone with extensive customs clearance experience who is looking for a long-term opportunity within a stable business. If you thrive in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment and enjoy delivering excellent customer service, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing freight forwarding operations with a strong focus on customs clearance, ensuring shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities
*Complete import customs entries accurately and efficiently.
*Handle customs clearance documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
*Coordinate import and export shipments.
*Liaise with customers, hauliers, shipping lines, and customs authorities.
*Manage FCL and LCL shipments where applicable.
*Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
*Extensive customs clearance experience within a freight forwarding environment.
*Proven experience completing import customs entries.
*Experience using customs software (ASM experience is preferred, although experience with other customs systems is welcome).
*Good working knowledge of CNS Destin8.
*Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
*Sea import freight forwarding experience.
*Export customs clearance experience.
*Knowledge of T1 Transit procedures.
*Experience handling both FCL and LCL shipments.

*Competitive salary of £29,000–£35,000, depending on experience.
*Monday to Friday working hours – 9:00am to 5:30pm.
