~ Salary up to £30,000 DOE

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a well-established business within the construction sector based on the Wirral.

The successful individual will join a friendly and supportive finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

This role would suit an experienced Purchase Ledger professional looking for a varied position within a collaborative working environment.

Key Responsibilities
*Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
*Matching, batching and coding invoices
*Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
*Assisting with payment runs
*Managing and maintaining supplier accounts
*Supporting the Financial Controller with day-to-day finance duties
*Assisting with credit card reconciliations
*Ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and in line with company procedures
*Providing ad hoc support across the finance function as required

The successful candidate will have:
*Previous Purchase Ledger experience
*Experience using Sage 50
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues
*The ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
*Experience within the construction sector would be advantageous, although not essential
