Full job descriptionA fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive Production Planner to join a well-established manufacturing business in Tutbury.
This is a varied role where you’ll play a key part in keeping production running smoothly while acting as the link between the factory and the customer. You’ll create and manage production schedules, monitor work in progress, and work closely with production and customer service teams to ensure orders are delivered on time and in full.
Alongside planning, you’ll provide excellent customer service by responding to production and availability queries, communicating lead time updates, managing customer portals, updating delivery information and downloading customer order schedules. You’ll also attend daily production meetings, help resolve delivery issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
We’re looking for someone with:
*Previous production planning, scheduling or manufacturing coordination experience.
*Strong customer service and communication skills.
*Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
*A proactive approach and a continuous improvement mindset.
