This position is offered on a full-time basis and is based in New Milton, with hybrid working available following the initial training period.
This organisation has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality services while placing a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, operational excellence and continuous improvement. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a proactive and organised finance professional to provide essential support across sales ledger, credit control and finance administration activities.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative finance team, playing a key role in ensuring accurate financial administration, maintaining healthy cash flow and delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Your Roles and Responsibilities:

*Processing incoming payments, including card payments and cheques, ensuring accurate allocation across customer accounts
*Completing daily cash posting activities while investigating and resolving any unallocated payments
*Managing credit notes, customer refunds and account closures in an accurate and timely manner
*Supporting credit control activities by proactively chasing outstanding customer balances via telephone, email and written correspondence
*Escalating overdue or high-risk accounts where appropriate to support effective debt recovery processes
*Responding to finance-related customer enquiries, providing a professional and efficient service at all times

*Supporting Direct Debit administration and other routine finance processes as required
*Assisting with bad debt recovery activities and contributing towards reducing aged debt
*Responding promptly to internal stakeholder queries and supporting wider finance projects and administrative tasks when required
What You Will Need to Apply:
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience within an administrative position, ideally gained within a finance or accounts environment, alongside a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Applicants should possess excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills will be essential, with confidence handling customer enquiries by both telephone and email.
Candidates should demonstrate sound IT proficiency, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook. Previous experience using finance or accounting systems, particularly sales ledger or credit control software, would be highly advantageous. Exposure to Microsoft Business Central or similar systems would also be beneficial.
Whilst not essential, applicants holding or working towards an AAT qualification or another relevant finance qualification will be viewed favourably.
The successful individual will be proactive, reliable and highly organised, with strong numerical skills and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. They will enjoy working within a fast-paced setting and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.
What You Will Get in Return:
For the successful candidate, a salary of up to £26,000 per annum, dependent upon experience, will be offered alongside an attractive benefits package.
Additional benefits include generous annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays (pro rata), a company pension scheme with employer contributions, access to an employee assistance programme, employee discount schemes, free on-site parking and hybrid working following the initial training period.
This role presents an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and friendly finance team where you will gain valuable experience across a broad range of finance administration activities while contributing to the continued success of a growing organisation. The successful candidate will enjoy working within a collaborative environment where high standards, teamwork and customer service are highly valued.
