Job Title: Class 2 Driver (LGV C)
Location: Exeter
Hours: Monday to Friday
Start Time: 6:00am
Shift Length: Approximately 9-10 hours per day
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (LGV C) Driver to join our client’s team based in Exeter. This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity servicing customers throughout Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing approximately 15-25 customer service stops per day, operating a Specialist Collection Vehicle (SCV) and emptying 1,000-litre bins safely and efficiently.
This is a physically demanding role, and candidates must be comfortable carrying out regular manual handling duties throughout the working day.
Key Responsibilities
*Safely operate a Class 2 (LGV C) vehicle.
*Complete daily routes across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
*Service approximately 15-25 customer locations per shift.
*Empty 1,000-litre bins into a Specialist Collection Vehicle (SCV).
*Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after each shift.
*Maintain high standards of health and safety.
*Deliver excellent customer service at each collection point.
*Complete all relevant paperwork and comply with driver regulations.
Requirements
*Valid Category C (Class 2/LGV C) driving licence.
*Valid Driver CPC qualification.
*Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
*Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.
*Good knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations.
*Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
*Able to undertake a physically demanding role involving manual handling.
Pay Rates
*Standard: £16.40 per hour
*Overtime: £16.40 per hour
*Saturday: £20.50 per hour
*Sunday: £20.50 per hour
*Bank Holiday: £21.00 per hour
