Description


This is far more than a traditional Accounts position.
You’ll become a key member of a growing business where finance sits at the heart of operational success. Working closely with the CFO and external accounting partners, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day finance activities while contributing to the continual improvement of processes and controls.

You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of finance responsibilities, making this an excellent role for someone who enjoys being involved across the full finance function rather than being restricted to a narrow area of responsibility.
You’ll be involved in:*Managing daily bookkeeping activities through Xero
*Processing customer and supplier invoices, cash postings and journals
*Managing supplier invoices through Dext and ApprovalMax
*Ensuring invoices are accurately coded and allocated
*Supporting supplier payment runs and maintaining approval processes
*Managing and processing employee expenses
*Supporting payroll activities alongside external payroll providers
*Assisting month-end and year-end financial close processes
*Supporting audit requirements and compliance activities
*Helping improve finance processes as the business continues to grow
*Acting as a key point of contact for customer, supplier and employee finance queries

Profile


We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
You’ll be a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Essential Experience & Skills*A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar finance or accounts role
*Strong working knowledge of Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software
*Good understanding of:*Purchase Orders
*Customer and supplier invoicing
*Bank reconciliations and payments
*VAT
*Payroll processes
*Journal entries

*Experience supporting month-end close activities
*Knowledge of foreign exchange transactions
*Excellent organisational and administrative skills
*Exceptional attention to detail
*A positive, professional and solution-focused attitude


Job Offer


Competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 pro rata, depending on experience
