Full job descriptionOur Client, a Merseyside council is seeking an Assistant Team Manager to join their Early Help Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
*Provide supervision, guidance, and support to Early Help practitioners, ensuring high-quality practice and professional development
*Oversee and review Early Help Assessments and intervention plans, ensuring timely and effective support for children and families
*Support the Team Manager with case allocation, workload management, and day-to-day operational oversight
*Monitor safeguarding risks, offering advice on thresholds and escalating concerns where necessary
*Deputise for the Team Manager in their absence, including leading team meetings and making operational decisions
*Promote effective multi-agency working with partners such as schools, health, and voluntary services
*Conduct audits and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and best practice
*Track team performance and outcomes, ensuring accurate recording and adherence to service targets
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
*Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
