Are you an experienced Geotechnical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a well-established consultancy?
A growing engineering consultancy in Exeter is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, commercial, residential and industrial projects. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a collaborative team, leading projects, mentoring junior engineers and delivering technically challenging geotechnical solutions.
The Role*Deliver geotechnical design solutions for a wide range of projects.
*Undertake foundation, retaining wall, slope stability and earthworks design.
*Interpret ground investigation data and produce geotechnical design reports.
*Carry out geotechnical calculations and numerical analysis.
*Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
*Manage projects from initial design through to completion.
*Liaise directly with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
*Attend project meetings and provide technical input throughout project delivery.
*Support business development and contribute to winning new work.
Requirements*Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
*Significant consultancy experience within geotechnical design.
*Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and current UK design standards.
*Experience designing foundations, retaining structures, slopes and earthworks.
*Proficient with geotechnical design software.
*Excellent report writing and communication skills.
*Chartered status (or working towards Chartership) is desirable.
*Full UK driving licence.
