Full job descriptionSpecial Needs Teaching Assistant
Engage Education are currently looking for a 1 to 1 Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work at a mainstream primary school in Leeds. Starting in September, the school are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with children with additional needs. This is a full time (Monday to Friday) 12 week temp to perm position.
Your Role:
*Supporting learners on a one-to-one basis often with complex learning needs
*Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class
*Providing feedback to teachers and parents
*You will be assisting pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD
What you will need:
*A range of behaviour management techniques
*To have worked with learners with a range of needs
*The ability to engage a young person in learning through a range of methods
*To be able to commit to working at the school for long period of time
*A resilient attitude
