Our client, who is based on the outskirts of Exeter, is seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts Administrator to join their Finance team on an ongoing temporary, full-time basis.
As the Accounts Administrator, you’ll support the financial operations for key customers by accurately processing invoices and credit notes, ensuring data integrity, and resolving any discrepancies. You’ll also assist with reporting and monitoring customer accounts to help maintain efficient and accurate financial management.
You will be working closely alongside senior members of the finance team and will be used to working in a fast paced and vibrant environment.
The responsibilities:
*Accurately upload and process high volumes of sales invoices and credit notes into the customer portal.
*Ensure all financial data is complete and precise to prevent errors and delays in payment.
*Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies by coordinating with internal teams and customers.
*Maintain and update weekly Excel reports to track customer debt and highlight key movements.
*Respond to customer queries and provide detailed account information as required.
*Issue monthly statements of accounts and ensure databases are checked and updated daily for accuracy.
The candidate:
*Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and data management, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
*Experience handling high volumes of transactions while ensuring completeness and reliability of data.
*Excellent customer service, verbal communication, and telephone skills with internal and external contacts.
*Effective workload planning, teamwork, and ability to contribute to process improvements.
*Commercially aware, with prior accounting or ledger experience preferred.
