The RoleA leading automotive components manufacturer is seeking a commercially driven Key Account Manager to manage and grow strategic accounts mainly across England.
This home-based role offers a dynamic blend of client-facing activity and commercial leadership, delivering value to major OEMs and tier suppliers in the UK automotive sector.
As the Key Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for key automotive customers, responsible for strengthening relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, profitable solutions.
Your role will be pivotal in supporting the company’s continued growth in a competitive industry, with the opportunity to influence sales strategy and expand your client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities*Own and manage a portfolio of major automotive OEM and tier-1 supplier accounts across the UK, focusing on revenue growth and long-term partnerships.
*Develop and execute account plans aligned with customer needs and company objectives, identifying opportunities for upselling and new business within existing clients.
*Maintain strong commercial oversight including pricing, contract negotiation, margin management, and order fulfillment coordination to ensure profitable deals.
*Collaborate closely with internal teams (engineering, production, supply chain, quality, finance) to ensure customer requirements are met on time and to specification.
*Conduct regular client visits across England, building trusted relationships and acting as a proactive problem solver and adviser.
*Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform product development and competitive positioning.
*Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reports to senior leadership.
*Represent the company at industry events and customer meetings, enhancing brand presence and credibility.
Your Background*Proven track record in B2B key account management within automotive components or related manufacturing sectors.
*Experience managing relationships with major OEMs and tier suppliers in the UK automotive market, particularly with access to facilities across England.
*Strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience in pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and margin control.
*Comfortable working remotely with a home-based setup, while maintaining frequent travel to customer sites.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and cross-functional internal teams.
*Self-motivated, organised, and commercially focused with a results-driven approach.
*Residing in the UK with the ability to travel regularly across England to client locations.
