*The role will offer a variation in work that will include maintenance – planned and reactive, projects and installations.
*All tasks to be performed in line within Company and legal Health and Safety procedures.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION – TASK RELATED
Maintenance Tasks
*To ensure the following tasks as required are carried out: -
*Day to day maintenance of all plant and machinery
*Perform planned preventative maintenance tasks.
*Ensuring that all logs and job sheets are filled in as required.
*All reported faults are logged and acted on
*Check sheets filled in.
*Post work sheets filled in.
*Breakdowns kept to a minimum.
Sourcing and stocking spare parts
*Ensure replacement parts are available as required, when following the planned maintenance plan.
*Maintain a list of consumables and suppliers.
Breakdowns
*Taking instructions from the Maintenance Manager, ensure we minimize down time during plant breakdowns at Manton Wood Mill.
Planned Maintenance
*Following the planned maintenance schedule and after agreement with the Maintenance Manager carry out the tasks requested to minimize breakdowns and loss of production.
Modifications
*Carry out any modifications required and in accordance with all safety rules and regulations.
Safety
*To ensure all duties are carried out safely and with the highest concern for others on the site.
*To work to current Health and Safety regulations and to wear appropriate safety equipment.
*To be aware of handling instructions for Raw Materials and of Finished Product MSDS sheets.
*To alert the other staff when a safety issue is perceived.
*To undertake responsibilities in emergency response/crisis situations as required
*Ensure all plants are isolated before carrying out any work.
*Ensure permits to work are used and followed.
Other Duties
*Maintain all working areas in a clean and safe condition to protect products from cross contamination from equipment.
*Hold regular progress meetings with Maintenance Manager
Safety
*Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality and Environmental Management System and Health and Safety Policies.
Skills and Experience
*Enthusiastic.
*Good time keeping.
*Willingness to learn.
*Good communication skills
*Driving license advantage
Salary : Up to £35k per annum
