Full job descriptionVehicle Technician - £27.00ph - HGV Licence Essential - Bournemouth, Dorset Based across the Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole area, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a professional fleet team responsible for keeping essential front line services moving. You’ll work on a wide range of commercial vehicles & equipment while benefiting from a supportive team environment & ongoing training.

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Vehicle Technician, in Bournemouth, Dorset you will:
*Carry out servicing, maintenance & repairs on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles
*Diagnose faults efficiently & complete repairs to a high standard
*Perform safety inspections & vehicle examinations
*Complete preventative maintenance & scheduled servicing
*Accurately record defects, repairs & parts used electronically
*Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures & Operator Licence requirements
*Support apprentices & assist with training where required
*Work collaboratively to keep the fleet operating safely & efficiently
What we’re looking forTo be successful, you’ll have:
*Previous experience within a busy commercial vehicle workshop
*A valid HGV Licence
*NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance
*Experience maintaining municipal fleets, including refuse collection vehicles, road sweepers, trailers, tractors, vans & light commercial vehicles
*Strong fault-finding & diagnostic skills
*A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
*The ability to work independently & as part of a team
*Flexibility to work across sites within the Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole area
