NRG Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a highly successful automotive dealership group in London to recruit a Dealership Accountant on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a fast-paced and commercially driven dealership environment, taking ownership of the accounting function while supporting senior management with financial reporting and business performance analysis.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity of the dealership and providing valuable insights to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities*Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports to strict deadlines.
*Produce accurate profit and loss statements, balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis.
*Monitor dealership performance against budgets, forecasts and manufacturer targets.
*Analyse key financial and operational KPIs, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
*Manage and oversee daily accounting activities, including sales, purchase and nominal ledgers.
*Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
*Prepare cashflow forecasts and manage balance sheet reconciliations.
*Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
*Support external audits and statutory reporting requirements.
*Partner with departmental managers to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
*Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.
Candidate Requirements*Qualified by Experience (QBE), Part-Qualified or Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
*Previous experience within a dealership, motor trade or automotive environment is highly desirable.
*Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong commercial awareness.
*Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using dealership management systems would be advantageous.
*Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
*Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
