Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative Chelmsford
£13.20 per hour
Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm (40 hours per week)
Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
Are you an experienced Forklift Driver looking for a varied warehouse role with long-term potential? Our client, a leading and well-established distribution company based in Chelmsford, is seeking a reliable and motivated Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative to join their busy team.

The RoleAs a Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring stock is handled efficiently, accurately, and safely.
Key Responsibilities:*Picking orders and palletising goods ready for dispatch
*Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and effectively
*Replenishing stock using a pump truck
*Moving stock from goods-in areas to storage and picking locations
*Supporting picking and packing activities as required
*Assisting with unloading containers
*Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
*Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
What We’re Looking ForEssential:*Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (external/accredited licence required - in-house licences cannot be accepted)
*Previous warehouse and forklift experience
*Good communication skills
*Ability to prioritise workloads and work efficiently
*Understanding of warehouse Health & Safety procedures
*Full UK driving licence due to location
*Positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
Personal Qualities:*Reliable and hardworking
*Strong attention to detail
*Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
*Willingness to support colleagues and take on a variety of warehouse duties
