*Contract Type: 12-month fixed term (potential to become permanent)
*Location: Boston - PE20
*Salary: Main Teacher Pay Scale
We are seeking a Generalist Teacher to cover a maternity leave, with the potential for the role to become permanent. The ideal candidate will have SEN (Special Educational Needs) teaching experience and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). While a background in Maths and Science is preferred, we are open to candidates from various subject areas.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects, adapting to the needs of SEN students.
*Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum objectives.
*Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
*Collaborate with other teaching staff and SEN specialists to enhance educational practices and student learning experiences.
*Participate in school meetings and events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Experience in teaching SEN students is essential.
*Strong subject knowledge in Maths and Science is ideal, but candidates with expertise in other subjects are also encouraged to apply.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to create and adapt teaching materials to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
Interview Process:
*Face-to-face interview, including a 20-30 minute lesson delivery.
*The first part of the interview will involve a review of the lesson taught, discussing what was successful and areas for improvement if any.
*Competency-based interview focusing on teaching skills and experience.
