Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Workshop Forklift Engineer, your duties will include:
*Servicing, maintaining, and repairing forklift trucks and material handling equipment
*Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic faults
*Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
*Conducting safety inspections and compliance checks
*Repairing electric, diesel, and LPG forklifts
*Completing breakdown repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
*Working on a variety of warehouse and industrial handling equipment
Skills & Experience RequiredApplications are welcomed from engineers with backgrounds in:
*Forklift
*Plant
*HGV
*Powered
*Agricultural
Essential Skills:*Strong mechanical and fault-finding abilities
*Experience with hydraulics, electrics, and diesel systems
*Full UK driving licence
*NVQ / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, Plant Maintenance, or Vehicle Repair beneficial but not a deal breaker if you don’t have this
Ideal CandidateThe ideal Workshop Forklift Engineer will be:
*Experienced working in fast-paced workshop environments
*Confident diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
*Eager to learn and progress technically
*Reliable with a strong work ethic
