Hales Group are recruiting for an experienced CNC Toolmaker to join a leading manufacturing business in Beccles. This is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled Toolroom team, manufacturing and maintaining precision tooling that supports a busy production environment.

About the role
Working within the Toolroom, you’ll manufacture new tooling, maintain existing tooling and provide engineering support to production areas. You’ll use a variety of machining equipment, including CNC machinery, to produce high-quality components and ensure tooling remains in optimum condition.
Key responsibilities*Manufacture new tooling and ancillary components
*Maintain, repair and modify existing tooling
*Operate CNC milling and turning machinery
*Work from engineering drawings and specifications
*Provide engineering support to production teams
*Maintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping
*Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
What we’re looking for*NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent)
*Proven experience within a machining, toolmaking or engineering environment
*CNC machining experience
*Milling and turning skills
*Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
*Good communication skills
Desirable:
*Experience with Hurco and/or Fanuc control systems
*Previous Toolmaking experience
Progression & flexibility
This role is ideally suited to an experienced CNC Toolmaker. However, candidates with a strong CNC machining, precision engineering or toolroom background who can demonstrate the required technical skills will also be considered.
