Location: Barrow (Hybrid – 2–3 days per week on site)
Rate: £44.00 per hour PAYE
We’re recruiting for Senior Mechanical Engineers to join a leading defence programme in Barrow. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-profile engineering projects, supporting the design, development and delivery of advanced weapons systems within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
*Support the design and development of mechanical engineering solutions.
*Produce and review technical documentation and engineering designs.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives.
*Ensure designs meet quality, safety and engineering standards.
Requirements:
*Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
*Previous experience in a Senior Mechanical Engineering role.
*Experience within defence, aerospace, marine, nuclear or another highly regulated industry is desirable.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
Security Requirements: Candidates must be eligible for BPSS, SC Clearance, and ITAR compliance.
This is a hybrid opportunity, requiring 2–3 days per week on site in Barrow, with a competitive rate of £44.00 per hour PAYE.
