Job Description:
Full job descriptionA well-established manufacturing organisation is looking to add an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to its engineering team at a busy production facility in Stirling.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving, and maintaining high-performing production equipment within a fast-paced industrial environment.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the Engineering function, you’ll play a key role in ensuring plant and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to production. You’ll be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance activities, supporting operational performance while driving continuous improvement across the site.
Key Duties
*Complete planned and preventative maintenance activities across manufacturing equipment.
*Respond to electrical breakdowns and carry out effective fault diagnosis and repair.
*Maintain and troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery and automated systems.
*Support maintenance activities across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment.
*Accurately record maintenance work through the site’s maintenance management system.
*Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with site safety procedures and engineering standards.
*Contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at improving reliability and efficiency.
*Work closely with production and engineering colleagues to minimise downtime and maximise output.
Candidate Profile
We are keen to speak with engineers who possess:
*An NC, HNC, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
*Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial maintenance environment.
*Strong electrical fault-finding abilities and a methodical approach to problem solving.
*Experience working with PLC systems and industrial control equipment.
*The ability to work independently and make sound engineering decisions.
Advantageous Experience
*18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
*Experience using CMMS or maintenance management software.
*Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
*Strong communication and IT skills.
*A flexible and proactive approach to maintenance engineering.
