We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal with a focus on property law to join our team. This role involves working across multiple sites in Trowbridge and offers a competitive salary. The ideal candidate will have experience in property litigation and a strong desire to further develop their legal skills in a dynamic environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation processes from the initiation of a case to the discovery period through trial and post-trial findings and appeals.
*Research relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles to help determine the specifics of a case.
*Gather and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
*Write reports to help lawyers prepare for trials.
*Draft correspondence and legal documents, such as contracts and mortgages.
*Get affidavits and other formal statements that may be used as evidence in court.
*Help lawyers during trials by handling exhibits, taking notes, or reviewing trial transcripts.
*File exhibits, briefs, appeals and other legal documents with the court or opposing counsel.
*Call clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings, and depositions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a paralegal, ideally within property litigation.
*Strong understanding of legal terminology and principles related to property law.
*Excellent research, analytical, and organisational skills.
*Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
*Strong written and oral communication skills.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research software.
