Job Description:
Full job descriptionThe Business Services Team is focused on building strong client relationships and helping small businesses grow with confidence. We provide a fully supportive finance function, delivering services including bookkeeping, VAT returns, confirmation statements, management accounts, and advisory support.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team where you will strengthen your technical accounting skills while developing leadership, communication, and commercial awareness. You will work closely with senior team members and play a key role in supporting both clients and colleagues in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
In this role, you will support the Team Leader in the management and delivery of services to the client base. You will act as a key support to ensure clients receive an excellent service and that the team operates efficiently and consistently.
Role:
*Supporting the Team Leader with the day-to-day management of the client portfolio
*Arranging and attending client meetings (both via Teams and in person)
*Managing and developing junior staff, including work allocation, review, and ad hoc training
*Ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard
*Assisting with business development activities
*Liaising with the Team Leader to help shape and implement team strategy
*Supporting the preparation and review of management accounts and statutory filings
*Assisting in the development and implementation of best practice processes and procedures
*Contributing to the development of the team’s technology and automation strategy
*Identifying opportunities to enhance client services and increase commercial value
Qualification:
*ACA or ACCA qualified or Qualified by Experience
*3+ years practice experience
Package:
*Starting salary of £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
*Flexible working hours (start between 08:00–10:00, finish between 16:30–18:30)
*25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service
*Hybrid working: 2 days from home (3 days after 12 months)
*Work abroad: up to 5 days per year
