Full job descriptionRole: Finance Assistant
Location: Milton Keynes | Office Based
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 (Pro rata)
Duration: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
We’re partnering with a well-established business in Milton Keynes to recruit a Finance Assistant on a 6-month FTC. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience who enjoys working in a varied role and takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail.
Key responsibilities:
*Processing Accounts Payable invoices and supplier payments
*Raising and processing credit notes
*Performing account reconciliations
*Applying double-entry bookkeeping principles accurately
*Managing the finance inbox and ensuring queries are resolved promptly
*Processing ad-hoc payments and supporting wider finance administration
*Assisting with finance projects and process improvements
*Supporting the finance team with reporting and general administrative duties
Key requirements:
*Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Finance Administrator role
*Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping (essential)
*Experience with Accounts Payable, reconciliations and credit notes
*Strong Excel skills and confidence using accounting systems
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*A proactive attitude with the ability to thrive in a busy environment
