We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established and financially secure manufacturing and distribution business that is undergoing an exciting period of transformation. With ambitious growth plans, significant investment in systems, and a collaborative finance team, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a commercially focused environment.
The OpportunityReporting into the Finance Director and working within a close-knit finance team, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business decisions, and helping drive improvements across finance processes.
This is an exciting time to join, with the business implementing a new ERP system, giving you the opportunity to be involved in systems development, reporting enhancements, and process improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities*Prepare accurate monthly management accounts with meaningful analysis and commentary.
*Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial records.
*Support multiple group entities, ensuring consistent financial reporting and compliance.
*Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
*Support VAT returns, corporation tax processes and wider statutory compliance.
*Produce product costing information and support costing activities.
*Process staff expenses.
*Contribute to finance improvement projects and provide ad hoc analysis when required.
*Play an active role in the implementation of a new ERP system and the development of financial reporting and analytics.
About YouWe’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a business that’s investing in its future.
You’ll ideally have:
*Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent).
*Around two years’ experience in a management accounting role.
*Previous experience within manufacturing or FMCG.
*Experience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Knowledge of audit support and tax compliance.
*Strong Excel skills.
*Experience with ERP systems or systems implementation would be advantageous.
*Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
*A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
