Full job descriptionTPF Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a well-established and forward-thinking firm of Chartered Accountants in Wokingham with their search for an Accounts Semi-Senior or Accounts Senior to join their growing team.

The Role

As an Accounts Semi-Senior or Senior, you’ll be responsible for supporting a diverse client base, ranging from owner-managed businesses to growing SMEs. Depending on your level of experience, you’ll take ownership of your own portfolio while working alongside Managers and Partners to deliver a high-quality service.

Key responsibilities include:

*Preparing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.

*Producing corporation tax returns, VAT returns and, where required, personal tax returns.

*Assisting clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software queries.

*Building strong relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact.

*Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to clients’ businesses.

*Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure assignments are delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines.

*Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.

*Keeping technical knowledge up to date through ongoing training and professional development.


RequirementsThe successful candidate will ideally have:

*Current or recent experience working within a UK accountancy practice.

*ACA or ACCA qualification, or be actively studying towards either qualification (qualified by experience candidates will also be considered).

*Experience preparing accounts for a range of business entities.

*Good working knowledge of accounting software, with cloud accounting experience beneficial.

*Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

*A proactive and personable approach, with the confidence to build lasting client relationships.

*Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

*Exposure to payroll or company secretarial work would be advantageous but is not essential.



Benefits*Salary of approximately £30,000 - £45,000, depending on experience and qualification level.
