Are you an experienced Service Manager looking for your next challenge? We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established automotive dealership in Bury St Edmunds, offering an excellent opportunity to lead a successful aftersales operation while driving performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
The RoleAs Service Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Service Department, leading and developing a high-performing team of Service Advisors, Technicians, and Workshop Controllers. You’ll ensure operational excellence, deliver an outstanding customer experience, and consistently achieve departmental targets.
Key Responsibilities*Lead, motivate, and develop the Service Department team.
*Drive workshop productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
*Monitor and improve customer satisfaction and retention.
*Ensure manufacturer standards and compliance are maintained.
*Manage departmental budgets, KPIs, and performance reporting.
*Handle escalated customer queries professionally and effectively.
*Work closely with other departments to maximise business opportunities.
*Create a positive, high-performing culture focused on continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For*Previous experience as a Service Manager within the automotive industry.
*Strong leadership and people management skills.
*Commercially aware with a proven track record of achieving targets.
*Excellent communication and customer service skills.
*Organised, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
*Full UK driving licence.
