Lead a Home. Inspire a Team. Change Lives.Connect-Exec is recruiting on behalf of a well-established children’s residential care provider for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed children’s home in Bayston Hill, Shrewsbury.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced leader who is committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for children and young people while maintaining the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance.
The RoleAs the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring it operates in line with Ofsted regulations and delivers exceptional care to children and young people.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Leading and managing a residential children’s home.
*Providing leadership, supervision and support to the staff team.
*Ensuring high standards of safeguarding, care and compliance.
*Managing care planning and ensuring positive outcomes for young people.
*Preparing for Ofsted inspections and Regulation 44 visits.
*Managing staffing, rotas and resource planning.
*Monitoring quality standards and continuous service improvement.
*Managing budgets and contributing to operational performance.
*Promoting therapeutic, child-centred and trauma-informed practice.
RequirementsEssential*Minimum 2 years’ management or supervisory experience within a children’s residential care setting.
*Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
*Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
*Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
*Experience leading and motivating staff teams.
*Strong organisational and communication skills.
*Full UK Driving Licence.
*Willingness to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (if not already achieved).
Desirable*Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management.
*Experience of achieving positive Ofsted inspection outcomes.
*Knowledge of therapeutic care approaches.
*Budget management experience.
