Full job descriptionMacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting an experienced and proactive Credit Control Manager for a client, based in Colchester, on a 9-month fixed term contract. This role is ideal for a confident credit professional who can hit the ground running, manage a credit control function effectively, and support the business during a period of change.
Duties & Responsibilities:
*Lead and manage the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt
*Oversee customer credit limits and perform regular credit risk assessments
*Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers
*Handle escalated or complex debt queries and disputes
*Produce regular reporting on debtor days, aged debt, and cash flow
*Review and improve credit control processes and policies where appropriate
*Support month-end processes and provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required
Key Skills & Attributes:
*Proven experience in a Credit Control Manager role with team management experience
*Strong knowledge of credit control best practices and risk management
*Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
*Hands-on approach with excellent organisational skills
*Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
*Strong Excel and financial systems experience
