Contract: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am start!
Job SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our waste and recycling team in Hounslow. You will be responsible for operating a refuse collection vehicle safely while working alongside a team of loaders to collect household and commercial waste across the borough.
Key Responsibilities*Safely operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
*Complete daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects.
*Follow designated collection routes and schedules.
*Work closely with the refuse collection crew to ensure efficient service delivery.
*Adhere to all road traffic legislation and health and safety procedures.
*Maintain accurate records and complete relevant paperwork.
*Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public.
Requirements*Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
*Driver CPC qualification.
*Digital Tachograph Card.
*Good understanding of drivers’ hours and vehicle safety regulations.
*Previous refuse or waste collection experience is desirable but not essential.
*Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
*Good communication and teamwork skills.
