Reed Education is delighted to be recruiting a Year 3/4 Teaching Assistant on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive 2-form entry primary school in Gloucester. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent position within a supportive and well-established school from September.
The school is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across Years 3 and 4, helping pupils to develop academically, socially, and emotionally as they progress through Lower Key Stage 2.
The Role
As a Year 3/4 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider Key Stage 2 team to support pupils in the classroom and through targeted interventions.
Key Responsibilities
*Support the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
*Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
*Deliver literacy and numeracy interventions.
*Support pupils with varying educational needs and abilities.
*Prepare and organise classroom resources.
*Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
*Assist in tracking pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
*Contribute to a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
*Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
*Have experience working with primary-aged children.
*Ideally have experience supporting pupils within Key Stage 2.
*Be patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic.
*Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Be able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
*Be committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.
*Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience (desirable but not essential).
