We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and organised individual to join our team as an Asset Data Capture Support, helping to ensure Cadent’s gas network records are accurately captured and maintained to support safe, compliant, and efficient operations across the network.

What You’ll Be DoingAs an Asset Data Capture Support, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate capture and maintenance of asset records across Cadent’s gas network. Working closely with operational teams and site managers, you will carry out site visits, gather and record key asset data, produce electronic drawings and supporting documentation, and ensure all information is submitted accurately and within required timescales. Your work will directly support network compliance, asset integrity, and the safe delivery of gas infrastructure projects.
How You’ll Make an Impact*Carry out on-site visits to capture accurate information relating to new and existing gas mains and assets while works are in progress.
*Produce and maintain electronic drawings, span sheets, site photographs, and supporting documentation to required standards.
*Ensure completed asset records are accurately captured and submitted within prescribed timescales using Cadent systems.
*Liaise with Site Managers, operational teams, and stakeholders to verify asset information and resolve discrepancies.
*Identify, record, and escalate asset record errors, hazards, deviations from design, and compliance-related issues.
*Support compliance activities by maintaining accurate records relating to mains testing, asset abandonment, pipe protection, service activities, and other operational requirements.
How We’ll Know You’re the Right Fit*Experience using Data Collector and GPS software to accurately capture and record field-based information.
*Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
*Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
*Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to work closely with operational teams and site managers.
*Ability to work independently, use initiative, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
*Hold a valid EUSR SHEA Gas Passport.
*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as regular travel to various site locations is required.
How It All Comes Together*Hourly Rate: £15.87 per hour PAYE, paid weekly one week in arrears
*Car Allowance: Included
*Location: Cadent Centre, Pilot Way, Ansty Park, Coventry, CV7 9JU
*Hours: 37 hours per week
*Assignment Type: Temporary Contract through Reed Talent Solutions, as Cadent Gas’s trusted recruitment partner
How Your Shifts Could Look*Training Details: To be confirmed
*Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
*Weekend Working: Occasional weekend working may be required to support operational and business requirements.
*Travel: This is a field-based role requiring travel to multiple work sites. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
