Our client, an incredibly successful Direct Mail business based in Devon, are looking to recruit an experienced, personable Sales Director to oversee their revenue-generating operation. Based in a fun, sociable office of 80 FTE (with free parking!), this is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate.

Our client have been established for over 10 years, and offer their client base an incredibly fast, well-received marketing solution that allows for immediate route(s) into new prospects/current customers. In addition to a ’pay as you use’ platform, they also boast a subscription service which further strengthens their grip on market share. Due to the relocation of the previous incumbent, they are now actively seeking the perfect candidate to oversee their small Sales team (6 FTE), growing revenue/customer numbers. In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:

- Executing the UK sales strategy within the framework of the Group’s business strategy, aligning to overall company goals
- Setting a clear vision, mission, and measurable objectives for the UK Sales team
- Identifying and pursuing new market opportunities and commercial initiatives in line with the Group’s strategic direction
- Reporting directly in to the Group CRO, providing timely intelligence on market conditions, competitive landscape, risks, and product requirements
- Demonstrating a proactive, coaching-led leadership style, supporting team members to achieve their targets, personal development goals, and career aspirations
- Owning and continuously optimising the UK sales playbook
- Driving sales growth and market expansion across the UK, with a focus on customer retention, expansion, and new logo acquisition, aligned to regional budget
- Defining and evolving the customer expansion and retention strategy in response to market trends and commercial conditions
- Overseeing the regional sales organisation, setting targets, and developing/embedding effective sales methodologies
- Building and maintaining senior relationships with key clients, channel partners, and strategic alliances
- Partnering with the CRO to develop and execute go-to-market strategies suited to the UK landscape
- Collaborating with the Group marketing team on the effective deployment of the UK marketing budget
- Building, developing, and leading a high-performing UK sales team with a coaching-first culture and emphasis on self-driven development
- Cultivating a positive, performance-focused sales environment that encourages innovation and commercial creativity- Working closely with the CRO and CFO on regional budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Ensuring efficient day-to-day sales operations with strong alignment to Group teams, processes, and strategic partners
- Working with the CRO and CFO to embed a data-driven approach to decision-making across the sales function
- Providing regular sales performance reporting to the Group on a weekly and monthly basis, with supporting commentary and, where required, action plans
In order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:

- Strong track record in senior B2B sales, ideally within a SaaS, martech, or platform business
- Experience of driving revenue growth through new business acquisition and customer expansion
- Experience of selling a technical platform to mixed audiences - including marketing, operations, and IT stakeholders - with the ability to translate product capability into commercial value
- Excellent commercial acumen with experience of budgeting, forecasting, and operating to financial targets
- Confident, credible communicator who is comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders (ideally with some experience at C-suite or board level)- Experience of building, motivating, and developing commercial teams, or a clear and evidenced ability to do so at the next level
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, sales analytics tools, and data-driven pipeline management
- Comfortable operating in a global business with a collaborative approach to cross-functional working across product, marketing, operations, and finance
- Fun, sociable personality!

Although not essential, any candidates with a strong understanding of the UK direct mail, print, or marketing automation landscape are encouraged to apply. As so are any Sales Managers or Heads of Sales who are ready to take their first step into a Director-level role!

In addition to a very competitive basic salary of up to £85,000, our client are also offering the following:

- Quarterly bonus/commission structure (realistic OTE: £110,000)
- Fantastic working hours (Monday - Friday: 9.00am - 5.30pm)
