Full job descriptionThe EMEA Accountant will play a key role in supporting financial operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Switzerland within the Aerospace and Defence industry. This permanent position, based in Silchester, offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic accounting and finance department.

*Prepare and review financial reports and statements in compliance with regional regulations.
*Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
*Ensure accuracy in general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
*Support VAT reporting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
*Collaborate with international teams to streamline financial processes.
*Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends and variances.
*Contribute to audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
*Enhance internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies.
Profile
A successful EMEA Accountant should have:
*A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
*Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or working towards them).
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*Knowledge of international accounting standards and tax regulations.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
*Experience in the industrial/manufacturing industry is desirable but not required.
