Veritas Education is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a fantastic nursery in Wetherby, seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Room Leader to join their friendly team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner who is ready to take the next step in their career or continue developing within a leadership role. The nursery is committed to providing exceptional care and education, offering a nurturing environment where both children and staff are encouraged to thrive.
As Deputy Room Leader, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the room, working closely with the Room Leader to deliver outstanding early years practice. You’ll help inspire your team, build strong partnerships with families, and create engaging learning experiences that allow every child to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:*Supporting the Room Leader with the daily management and organisation of the room
*Leading the room in the Room Leader’s absence
*Delivering high-quality care and learning in line with the EYFS framework
*Supporting, mentoring, and motivating other practitioners
*Building strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
*Completing observations, assessments, and learning journeys
*Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health, safety, and wellbeing
Requirements:*Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
*Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
*Experience leading or supporting the running of a nursery room
*Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
*Excellent communication and leadership skills
*A positive, organised, and proactive approach
*Passion for delivering outstanding early years education
