Senior Practice Accountant - Accounts & Advisory
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Practice Accountant - Accounts & Advisory to join a well-established and growing professional services firm operating in London. This Senior Practice Accountant - Accounts & Advisory role sits within a high-performing team that supports a broad portfolio of SME and group clients. Based in London, you’ll be joining a collaborative setting where you’ll be trusted with varied responsibilities, client interaction, and exposure to more complex work as you develop. The culture is professional yet relaxed, with a strong emphasis on development within accountancy and long-term career growth.
What you’ll be doing*Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies across a diverse client base
*Producing consolidated accounts for small and medium-sized groups
*Preparing corporation tax returns and supporting tax compliance work
*Reviewing VAT returns and assisting with client queries
*Producing management information to support business decision-making
*Managing your own workload, deadlines, and planning effectively
*Liaising directly with clients and building strong working relationships
*Supporting junior team members with technical guidance where required
*Assisting with external audit queries and wider project work
What we’re looking for*Minimum 2 years’ experience in practice
*ACA / ACCA qualified or actively working towards qualification
*Strong technical grounding with a proactive approach to development
*Confident user of Excel, Word, and Outlook
*Experience with Xero (essential)
*Exposure to systems such as IRIS, Sage 50, QuickBooks or Alpha (desirable)
*Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
*Able to work under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy
*Strong communication skills with a client-focused mindset
