Full job descriptionReed Further Education is currently recruiting for a Teacher of Travel and Tourism to deliver high-quality teaching within a further education setting based in Derby


This is a full-time temporary role covering staff absence, with delivery across Level 1 to Level 3 learners.


*Full-Time (37 hours) – Temporary / Agency
*Start Date 18th August 2026
*End date:TBC
*Candidates will be required to complete a micro-teach assessment as part of the selection process
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver engaging Travel and Tourism lessons across BTEC programmes
*Plan, assess, and monitor learner progress in line with curriculum requirements
*Support students to achieve their qualifications and career goals
*Contribute to quality assurance processes, including internal verification (IQA)
*Follow safeguarding procedures and participate in vetting and compliance checks
Key Requirements
*Relevant degree in Travel & Tourism or related sector
*Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
*Experience delivering Travel & Tourism (BTEC preferred)
*Knowledge or experience of Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)
*Valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
