Full job descriptionWe are recruiting on behalf of an ambitious and fast-growing business based in London that is looking for a driven and commercially sharp Business Development Manager to join their team. This is a high-impact role for someone who is hungry to win new business, build lasting client relationships, and play a central part in the growth of an exciting organisation.
You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from initial outreach through to close, and developing a strong pipeline of prospects. This is not a role for someone who wants to manage existing accounts and coast — it is for someone who genuinely loves the hunt and gets a real buzz from bringing in new business.

Key Responsibilities
· Identify, target, and pursue new business opportunities through a combination of outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and inbound lead management.
· Manage the full sales cycle end-to-end — from initial contact and needs assessment through to proposal, negotiation, and close.
· Build and maintain a strong, well-qualified pipeline, keeping CRM records accurate and up to date at all times.
· Develop a deep understanding of the client’s products and services and be able to articulate their value proposition clearly and compellingly to a range of audiences.
· Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at target organisations.
· Collaborate with internal teams — including marketing, product, and operations — to ensure a seamless client experience from first contact through to onboarding.
· Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
· Report on pipeline activity, revenue forecasts, and new business performance to senior leadership on a regular basis.
What We Are Looking For
· Proven track record in a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, or similar new business-focused role — with demonstrable results.
· Experience managing a full sales cycle in a B2B environment, with the ability to close deals at a senior level.
· Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand client needs quickly and position solutions effectively.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills — you are confident in front of senior decision-makers and can adapt your style to different audiences.
· Self-motivated and target-driven, with the resilience and determination to keep going when deals take time.
· Proficient in CRM systems and comfortable working with data to manage and report on pipeline activity.
· London-based or able to commute to London regularly.
