Assistant Accountant - FMCGSalary: Up to £165 per day
Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Hybrid/Flexible
Start Date: Immediate
Assistant Accountant - 12-Month ContractWe are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing FMCG business on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who is immediately available and looking to gain experience within a fast-paced, dynamic commercial environment.
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will support the month-end process, financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day finance operations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within an FMCG or high-volume environment and be confident managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities*Assist with month-end and year-end finance processes
*Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
*Support management reporting and financial analysis
*Maintain accruals and prepayments
*Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
*Analyse financial data and investigate variances
*Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as required
*Help improve finance processes and controls
About You*Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar finance role
*Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, or another fast-paced environment preferred
*Immediately available or available at short notice
*Strong Excel skills
*Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
*Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
*AAT qualified, studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA, or qualified by experience
