Full job descriptionAre you looking for a facilities role where you can genuinely make a difference?We are recruiting on behalf of a successful national business for a Facilities Coordinator to join its team at an impressive modern, state of the art 125,000 sq.ft complex based in Tankersley, just south of Barnsley.
This is a great role for a coordinator, 35hrs a week, 8am-4pm Mon-Fri (with an early Friday finish available). It’s a varied, hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in maintaining high standards and likes being the person people rely on to keep things running smoothly.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the site remains safe, compliant, well-maintained and welcoming for employees, visitors and contractors alike.
No two days are the same. One day you could be coordinating contractors and compliance checks, the next overseeing maintenance works, carrying out site inspections or supporting improvement projects across the business.

Key responsibilties:Reporting to the Operations Director, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of facilities activities across the site, ensuring everything is maintained safely, efficiently and in line with compliance requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
*Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities
*Managing contractors and ensuring all health & safety requirements are met
*Maintaining compliance records and statutory testing schedules
*Supporting fire safety, emergency lighting, PAT testing and legionella programmes
*Carrying out routine site inspections and identifying improvements
*Arranging repairs and maintenance works
*Undertaking minor repairs where appropriate
*Maintaining external grounds, car parks and site presentation
*Supporting environmental and sustainability initiatives
*Raising purchase orders and monitoring facilities expenditure
*Assisting with facilities-related emergencies when required
About YouWe’re looking for someone who is organised, practical and proactive, with the confidence to manage multiple priorities and build positive relationships across the business.
You’ll ideally have:
*At least 3 years’ experience in facilities, property or building maintenance
*A good understanding of health & safety and contractor management
*Experience coordinating maintenance schedules and compliance activities
*Strong administrative and IT skills
*Excellent communication and organisational abilities
*A hands-on approach and a willingness to get involved when needed
*The ability to work independently and take ownership of your workload
